About the area

When you hear that this town annually celebrates Jesse James Day you have to wonder what goes on here. However, the town is not celebrating the outlaw, rather the Jesse James movie filmed here in the 1920's. This event takes place in August and features a carnival, arts and craft booths, a cook shack, a Frisbee throw nightly for the kids, a parade, a barbeque chicken dinner, a bank robbery and music each night of this three day affair. While you are in town, stop by and see the log cabin which was the original courthouse.
