About the area |
Just a short distance South of Wellsville you will find Wellsville Lake Conservation area. This a great place for anglers and hunters. The lake, originally formed by two clay pits, receives an annual stocking of channel catfish in addition to the many bass, bluegill, redear sunfish and green sunfish which populate the lake. The rest of the area consists of forest and brushy areas in which can be found various small game species. There is also a boat ramp and unstaffed shooting range here.
