Louisiana Municipal Court

US 54, Business US 54 and SR 79 all run through the city of Louisiana, Missouri.

The city of Louisiana lies along the Mississippi river. There are some interesting and pleasing places to visit while you are in this city. One of them is the Henry Lay Sculpture park located at Saint Louis University's Lay Center for Education and the Arts. This park is surrounded by a large area of natural meadows, wooded rolling hills, lakes and streams. If you walk on its path you will pass though a working Maple Grove, the McElwee Cemetery and a large number of sculptures created by artists in the United States and from foreign countries. A walking trail, through the center grounds, winds through a oak-hickory forest with several open fields and two lakes. The Louisiana Area Historical museum showcases exhibits of pre-1900 toys and games; vintage clothing; military memorabilia; local streetscape, school, and organization photos; and pioneer household items and quilts. A room in this museum is dedicated exclusively to items, catalogs, photographs, and equipment used in Stark Nurseries' nearly 200 years. This company was the nation's leading fruit stock and grafting business. Another room showcases the role the Hercules company played in the creation of artificial fuel during World War II with displays of models and photographs.
