If you are into the brew and want to sample beers from regional and national craft breweries come to the annual Parkville Microbrew festival held in historic downtown Parkville in April. THere will be live music, handcrafted ales and great outdoor grilled food at this event. For some more fun you might also want to attend the annual Parkville Days Riverfest festival held each August. This event starts off with a parade and has music, carnival rides, more than 100 craft and art booths, lots of good food and games. The music includes some great jazz and blues and there is a Wings over Water Missouri Bird Show as well as the Battle of the High School Bands after the parade. The city's English Landing Park is approximately 68 acres on the Missouri river with 3 miles of walking trails, a large playground area, a boat ramp, picnic shelters, sand volleyball court and a disc golf course. It is the scene of the Arts, Blues, Jazz, and RiverJam and Parkville Days festival.
