About the area

Lawson was founded around 1870 and incorporated the following year. The annual Lawson picnic is a big deal in this town. This event is held over three day in July. There's a Pitch tournament, photo contest and carnival rides. There's also a Strawberry festival, magic show, a couples lawn tractor and wagon obstacle course, punt, pass & kick competition a bakeoff and on the third day a parade.
