Miner is a johnny-come-lately having been founded around 1942 and incorporated approximately nine years later. It might very well have ended up being named Minner, its original name, if not for a mistake by the railroad in making a sign for their switching station, located here, leaving out an "n" in the town's name and Minner became Miner Switch and later the City of Miner. If you visited here you might have eaten at Lambert's Café, the Home of the Throwed Rolls made famous on television. The City of Miner has a new Convention Center covers close to 16,000 sq. feet with meeting room seating up to 600 people. |
