About the area |
Miner is a johnny-come-lately having been founded around 1942 and incorporated approximately nine years later. It might very well have ended up being named Minner, its original name, if not for a mistake by the railroad in making a sign for their switching station, located here, leaving out an "n" in the town's name and Minner became Miner Switch and later the City of Miner.
