St. Charles Circuit Court

St. Charles Circuit Court is the circuit court of St. Charles County in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit court system.

The Discovery Expedition is in the Lewis & Clark Boat House and Nature center located along the Missouri River at Bishop's Landing in historic St. Charles. Located on the second floor of the Boat House is the Lewis and Clark Museum with dioramas depicting significant phases of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, Native American displays and various Missouri River habitats encountered during their journey. There are also four half-scale models of old St. Charles buildings showing architectural styles of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. On the lower level; the Boat House houses full-scale replicas of the boats used by Lewis & Clark including the keelboat, red pirogue, white pirogue and two dugout canoes. Around the museum there are plants native to Missouri at the time of Lewis & Clark in the Walk of Discovery and garden plots with various herbs, crops, and flowers. There is a nature trail winding through a woodland area to a typical wetland marsh along which can be seen a number of plants and from time to time ducks, geese, herons and deer.
