About the area |
Concerts on Central take place on Central avenue. Sponsored by the city they are held the third Friday of the month May though August. They are held from 7PM to 10 PM and are free; you just have to bring your chairs. The restaurants feature food and drink specials during the concerts. A very special event held on Central avenue in February is the annual Mardi Growl Dog Parade. The four legged participants usually are adorned in colorful costumes by their owners. There is music, childrenâs activities and the restaurants serve Mardi Gras cuisine and specialty drinks. It's something to see and enjoy. The city also sponsors "Starlight Movie Nights" on the fourth Friday of the Month, May through August on the lawn of City Hall proceeded by family activities. |
