About the area

To celebrate the Native American influence on arts and crafts; the annual Western Cherokee Community Celebration is held in the middle of September. This event features Native American music and dance but has food and games for all ages as well. The annual Cowboy Round-Up held in October has a barn dance, cowboy campfires, cowboy poetry and songs, horseback rides, rodeo and other ranch activities. There is a fee to attend this event but it includes lodging, meals and most activities.
