About the area
The first Saturday in May is the time to be in Liberty for the celebration of Amite County Heritage Days, held annually. Don't miss the Friday before for the start of festivities. There is music and other entertainment, arts & crafts vendors, lots of good food and a hot-air balloon glow and race. Events are held to give folks a sense of the history and heritage of Amite County.
