Small as it is the city has a fire department with anywhere from 20 to about 50 members. Let's face it every city needs one. The musty building that is the Calhoun County Courthouse was built in the 1930's with WPA funding and doesn't look anything like a stately courthouse of the South; more like a barn or a warehouse.
