About the area |
Senator John S. McCain has ties to this town. Personal and military memorabilia belonging to the great grandfather and grandfather of the Senator are displayed in the Merrill Museum which originally was Merrill's Store here. Two other museums with interesting collections are located in this town. The John Hurt Museum which once was the home of this Blues Musician whch now includes the museum, home, church, historical marker, gravesite and Old Community Store where he played; and the Antique Car Museum which has a large collection of antique cars aas well as other antique memorabilia. |
