The Drake Hill Historic district and the Market Street Historic district are two of the areas in Port Gibson listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Drake Hill Historic district consists of single dwellings built in the
late 19th and 20th Century Revival, Colonial Revival, Victorian and Queen Anne architectural styles around the 1840 to 1906 time period. The Market Street district consists of commercial structures and single dwellings built in the mid 19th Century Revival, late 19th and 20th Century Revival and Victorian architectural styles during the years around 1825 to 1899. The annual Heritage Festival, which features a variety of music, arts and crafts, food vendors, exhibits from the Jackson Zoo and the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and the 5K Dilla Dash, is the major fundraiser for the revitalization projects in the downtown historic districts.
