Friars Point lies along the Mississippi and the the exhibits in the North Delta Museum, which is located on the actual banks of the river, represent a virtual history of the Delta. The museum houses artifacts from the Mississippi Delta and the Mississippi River, including many military items. By viewing the exhibits which include prehistoric Indian artifacts, a replica of an early Delta general store, a barn with horse drawn vehicles and Delta household items; the visitor can experience the development of the area from its earliest days to the early steamboat days. Sundry other items such as antique clothing, military uniforms, medical instruments, antique sewing machines and antique washing machines will delight the amateur historian.
