To the Northeast of the city lies a body of water with nearly 36,000 acres of water, Grenada Lake. This area has more than 140 miles of shoreline, over 15 boat ramps and close to 50 areas for camping. The lake has something for everyone. If you want the big outdoors you won't be unhappy here. There are facilties here for camping, fishing, swimming, boating and jetâskiing, The ball players will like the basketball courts and softball fields. Hikers walk to your hearts content on the miles of nature trails. Mom and Dad can relax watching the kids play in the playgrounds here. Located nearby is Hugh White State Park with cabins, campground, a lodge and a pool.
