| About the area |
The City of D'Iberville is a newcomer among cities, having been founded less than 25 years ago. However, the city has a long history that can be traced back to the landing in 1699 of Pierre LeMoyne, Sieur d’Iberville, as he anchored off the Mississippi Gulf Coast and later explored the area. The city is anxiously awaiting the groundbreaking and construction of theOcean Expo Learning Center oceanarium. The oceanarium will include dolphin shows, aquarium exhibits and a bird sanctuary. |
