For over 30 years the Annual World Catfish Festival has been held in Belzoni in April. What better place to hold this festival than in this city in Humphreys county, considered to be the catfish capital of the world. More than 20,000 attend this event which is held in the entire downtown area. Besides the Catfish eating contest and the running and walking competitions there is the arts and craft show and live entertainment. |
