Faler Park in Bassfield lies right on the Longleaf Trace. Users of the Trace can stop at the park to get a cold drink at the Bassfield comfort station, picnic under the pavilion or rest in the shade of an oak. For those on horseback there is a hitching post and water trough for the four legged visitors. There are also paved parking lots at this location to accommodate SUV's trucks and trailers.
