DeKalb Circuit Court is the Kemper County Circuit Court which is part of the Tenth District Circuit system of Mississippi.

About the area

For a trip into the past visit Sciple's Water Mill built around 1790. Although the mill was all but destroyed during a tornado in 1973, it was rebuilt on the original floor and foundation. Lumber and materials salvaged from the tornado were used in the reconstruction. In the mid 1950's the water mill grinned cotton and sawed lumber, powered by springs running out of the hills upstream. The 19th century is the theme of the museum in the mill building with displays of tools and implements of every kind hanging from the ceiling and the walls.
