About the area |
The Hamasa Shrine Temple theater was built in the 1920's and is on the list National Register of Historic Places. This structure is an example of Moorish Revival style and is unique among theaters. It has one of only two pipe organs, which is really three organs in one and produces a sound equivalent to that of a 100-piece symphony orchestra, of its kind to exist today. The Temple which presented vaudeville acts and movies in the past, is now used year round for area events and live stage shows. |
