In addition to the serious nature of Memorial Day; each holiday weekend the Atwood Music Festival is held at the Atwood Water Park in Monticello. This festival started out as the Atwood Bluegrass Festival and has been held for more than 35 years. Nashville recording artists as well as other musicians are invited to perform at this event. To fill in and round out the weekend there are various sports tournaments held. Arts and craft vendors as well as food vendors to satisfy your hunger are here.
