About the area

Columbia Waterpark covering close to 60 acres lies north of Columbia and is operated and maintained by Marion County. The park is located on the Pearl River. The facilities associated with the river are a boat ramp and a river overlook. There are two pavilions here; one a large group pavilion the other a picnic pavilion. The larger is designed to catch any breeze blowing. The picnic pavilion is in a wonderful setting on the bank of the Pearl River. There are also lighted ballfields, covered picnic tables and grills, a playground and comfort stations.
