About the area

If you have never been to this place before and want to know all about its past; you must make a trip to the Oktibbeha County Heritage Museum. The museum was developed in the former 1874 Mobile and Ohio Railroad depot and to maintain the original look, the original flooring and outside walls were retained. This facility, owned by the city of Starkville, has many displays on exhibit. You can view such things as Native American artifacts, African-American and Civil War memorabilia, Military and scout uniforms, Medical/dental instruments and Farm equipment as well as displays of other memorabilia representative of the county's past.
