About the area |
The Crosby Arboretum at the Picayune campus of Mississippi State University is a major native conservatory of the Southeastern United States. Its three major exhibits, Savana, Woodland and Aquatic offer a display of over 300 species of trees and shrubs as well as wildflowers and grasses. In addition there are 11 trails, in addition to the walk connecting the visitor's entrance to the visitor's center, ach with their unique vegetation. On eof them, the Pitcher Plant Bog, has the yellow pitcher plant and other carnivorous plants as well as many seasonal wildflowers. |
