To commemorate his birth in Rolling Forks, the city has erected a gazebo in the center of town in honor of McKinley Morganfield otherwise known as Muddy Waters, the great blues singer-guitarist. Muddy Waters left Mississippi for Chicago where he expanded his music from his early presentations of traditional Mississippi blues staples to incorporate new instrumental sounds. If you want to relax in the gazebo on a lazy summer day and want to enjoy a bite to eat you can hanker over to the Chinese grocery across the street.
