About the area |
The Tallahatchie RiverFest, held annually in historic downtown New Albany has plenty of Appalachian country and bluegrass, Delta blues, and New Orleans jazz. The Tallahatchie river winds through the area until it flows into the Mississippi river. The spirit of the artists, craftsmen, writers, and musicians of the region is shown in all its glory at this festival. This city is the birthplace of the celebrated author William Faulkner. |
