About the area |
Each Fourth of July is celebrated in Waynesboro with the Red, White and Blueberry festival held on Station Street. The name of this event was changed from the Independence Day Celebration because blueberries are the source of employment for many of the people in the area. The festival features a live band concert, plenty of food (especially blueberries), rides, vendors, entertainment and fun for the family as well as a Blueberry King and Queen Pageant. The city has three main parks with playground facilities, tennis courts and ball fields. |
