About the area |
Although this town was settled in the late 1880's at a spur of the Georgia Pacific railroad; the area was setlled earlier by Native American tribes who fought fiercee battles for possession of the land, the last lof which took place around 1770 There are two industrial parks in town which are the site of companies providing the major source of employment for the residents. |
