About the area |
Hundreds of people came to Bridger, first called Stringtown, even though it was nothing more than a long alley of wooden shacks and hastily put together businesses, drawn by the jobs in the coal mines. After a while conditions did improve and eventually even oil was discovered to turn the town into a trade center. The Bridger area is where a paleontologist from Yale University discovered the Deinonychus and Sauropelta dinosaurs. |
