The Manhattan Court is located in Montana's eighteenth judicial district. IS 90 runs along Manhattan's Southern border where it connects with SR 288 which also meets SR 205 running through the middle of the town.
About the area
From the time of its founding as the first town in the area around 1865, it has had several names. First called Hamilton it move about one mile North, to meet the Northern Pacific railroad and was named Moreland. Around 1890 the town took its final name. You would have to leave this town and go to the surrounding areas to catch any of the attractions. However, the space around Manhattan affords the visitor the chance to catch a glimpse of family potato and dairy farms, wheat fields, sweeping mountain ranges and an abundance of wildlife. You can also get some great views of the Horseshoe Hills, the Bridger Range and the snow-capped Spanish Peaks Wilderness. Lots of potatoes at the annual Potato festival held here in August. After a great Fireman's breakfast there is live music, over 150 arts and craft booths, inflatables for the kids, a Classic Car show and the Tasty Tators Potato cookoff.
