Cut Bank Justice Court is in Montana's Ninth judicial district and handles civil and traffic infractions occurring throughout the county and outside the city limits of Cut Bank. The two major roads running through Glacier county, US 2 and US 89, can be found in the Southern part of the county and SR 49 runs between the two of them.

The arrival of the railroad and the building of a bridge across Cut Bank creek in the 1890's gave a start to this city which was located on the west side of the creek. As luck would have it, after several years it was discovered that the city was located on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and the residents decided to move the whole town to the east side of the creek. At least once each Summer, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, a theatrical outreach program of Montana State University-Bozeman, brings one of its productions to Cut Bank.
