Eureka is surrounded by the Kootenai National Forest an attraction that swells the town to twice its number as the Summer homeowners return for another season. The Tobacco Valley Rodeo association holds its rodeo here each year in July at the Lincoln County fairgrounds. The rodeo hold events such as barrel racing, saddle bronc riding, team roping, bull riding and mutton bustin'. A visit to Eureka is not complete without a day spent at the Tobacco Valley Historical village. The village consists of ten historic buildings and the artifacts in each structure. Built in the 1880's and 1920's; these structures consist of a general store, schoolhouse, library, church, two log cabins, hand-hewn house, railway depot, caboose, and fire tower.
