Eureka Justice Court is in the Nineteenth judicial district of Montana. It generally handles civic and traffic infractions occurring in Lincoln county North of mile marker 34 on SR 37 except those which occur within the city limits of Eureka. US 93, SR 37 and SR 567 all run through the Northern part of Lincoln county. |

About the area |
For many centuries the Kootenais inhabited the Tobacco Valley until some homesteaders settled in the area. When the Great Northern railroad rerouted its track through the Tobacco Valley around 1904, Eureka got its start. For many years the profitable commodity leaving Eureka was lumber. The kids might enjoy a trip to the Murray Springs Fish hatchery where they can see the fish up close. For nature lovers, a trip to Ant Flat Historic Site and Nature Trail might prove worthwhile. There is an opportunity to se a see a marshland ecosystem here. The building here is one of the first Ranger Stations on the Kootenai Forest and is an interesting study in rustic construction of the early years in this area. |
