Conrad City Court

Conrad Court is in the Ninth Montana judicial district. IS 15 Business Bypass, US 91, SR 219 and SR 369 meet in Conrad.

Although a trade route for furs passed just a few miles from the present town of Conrad in the 1860's; it had its beginning with the laying of the tracks by the Great Northern Railroad West of the town of Pondera, resulting in the relocation of Pondera's six buildings to the present location of the town of Conrad. A structure which had several lives as a brickyard and an auto dealership in the 20's is now Conrad's Transportation and Historical museum. In addition to a horseless carriage, vintage 1904, the museum has exhibits of several collections. Gasoline Alley has collections of cars, license plates, steering wheels; a pioneer homestead which was disassembled, moved to the museum and reassembled containing items such as a Majestic stove, Spinning Wheel, wrought iron bed complete with feather mattress and quilt; a general store, with an old cash register, calculating store scale, parlor stove, grocery and hardware items, fabric, soft goods and cooking utensils; the drug with a collection of old drug bottles and a small soda fountain from the early 1900's; a blacksmith with a vintage vise, forge, grindstone, anvil, tack saddle, post drill and the usual horse collars, bits and bridles and a collection of old toys.
