The Sidney Justice Court and the Sidney City Court are part of the Sidney Court and are in the Seventh judicial district of Montana. As in the other counties, civil and traffic fractions occurring outside the city limits of Fairview and Sidney are handled by the justice court. SR 16 coming down from the North through Richland county meets US 2, SR 201 and SR 200. SR 23, SR 202 and SR 261 are other good size roads in the county. SR 16 meets SR 200 in the Northern part of Sidney then runs together with it through the town. |

Two well attended annual events are held each year in Sidney. The MonDak Harvest fest in August holds ATV, Lawnmower Pulls and the Tractor and Pickup Pull and is held at the Richland County fairgrounds. The Sunrise Festival of the Arts held at Veterans Memorial park in July has artists from all over Montana, parts of Canada, North Dakota, and South Dakota. There are activities for the kids and music and dancing all day. In September the exciting annual Wings of Freedom air show is held at Sidney Richland Airport/Burns Field. An aerobatic team and skydivers are main features of this show. |
