Forsyth Justice Court

The Forsyth Justice Court is located in the Sixteenth judicial district of Montana and handles civic and traffic infractions occurring in Rosebud county outside the city limits of Colstrip and Forsyth. The major road running through the upper third of Rosebud is IS 94 which intersects with US 12, SR 39. SR 446 and SR 447. SR 39 also meets with US 212 which runs through the middle of the county.

Forsyth is graced by seven large outside murals painted by local and world famous artist Bob Watts. They are located on the outside walls of buildings. They are the Phantom, a steam locomotive trains on the outside of the 100 year old Royal Oaks Inn; Autumn on the Yellowstone, on the Yellowstone Pharmacy building; Log Cabin in the Woods, one block off Main street; a Big Mack truck, depicting the lumber industry in Montana, on the North wall of the fire station; Forsyth Fire Department, on the South wall of the fire department building and the Barn with Charm, on the East wall of the fire department building. The Yellowstone River on the edge of town is a great place for fishing, agate hunting, boating, wading or relaxing and you just might catch a glimpse of the wildlife wandering around the river.
