Glasgow Court is located in the Seventeenth judicial district of Montana. SR 42 runs into Glasgow and ends at US 2.
About the area
Established as a railroad town around 1887, Glasgow was named after Glasgow in Scotland. The town got a shot in the arm in the 1930's when construction of the Fort Peck Dam was authorized by President Franklin Roosevelt, providing employment in the Glasgow area. Glasgow Homecoming in September is a grand event in town. In addition to the parade and pancake breakfast there are the Saskatoon Police Pipes & Drums and dancers from Canada who appear throughout the town during this weekend. Pioneer Museum of Valley County has some exhibits that will excite you. They include displays from collections such as Indians and Cowboys with Assiniboine Indian artifacts and tipi, Stan's Bar and Wildlife, Fort Peck Dam and Flight and the Railroad. Sitting on the grounds is a fully furnished 1924 catalog home and an old schoolhouse. There is also a Lewis and Clark exhibit, including a 48 foot mural and a T-33 Trainer Jet.
