About the area

This community, known as the "Crossroads for the Future", has approximately 600 square miles of territory located in the Piedmont Region of central North Carolina from a portion of land of Rowan County. This land named after James Iredell, attorney general of NC during the Revolution; gave birth to Alexander County (along with portions of Caldwell and Wilkes Counties) more than 50 years after its creation. Today, the geography of this community has more than 15 townships and six cities including Union Grove, Davidson, Barringer, Olin, Concord, and Coddle Creek.
