Yancey and Buncombe Counties are the parents of this land born back in the second half of the 19th century with more than 40 people per square of territory and nested in between Greene (TN), Unicoi (TN), Yancey, Buncombe, Haywood, and Cocke (TN) Counties. This "dry" county offers delicious and fine wines at Hot Springs, Marshall and Mars Hill; but you will not be able to find any liquor because it is illegal in this corner of the Appalachian Mountains refreshed by the French Broad River.
