Formed from puzzle pieces of Guilford County, this land known thanks to the movie "Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice" was established back in the late 1770s in the Uwharrie Mountains and the Carraway Mountains region. Alamance, Chatham, Moore, Guilford, Montgomery, and Davidson Counties are the closest neighbors of Randolph which is divided into twenty townships including Level Cross, Liberty, Brower, Concord, Randleman, and Trinity. When you visit this land, you need to make some time to visit the Richard Petty Museum and the North Carolina Zoo, which is located on a very panoramic spot atop Purgatory Mountain. |
