| About the area |
Land was taken from the Western part of Pembina County to create Cavalier county around 1873. approximately 12 years later the residents of 15 townships in Pembina county voted to be added to Cavalier county. The Cavalier County museum at Dresden is located in the former Holy Trinity Church. The museum houses many artifacts related to the history of the area and is part of of a seven building museum complex. The Cavalier County Historical society also maintains the Hahn home where a visitor can get a glimpse into the early life in life in Dresden. The Dakota Spirit arena in Langdon is the home of the Langdon Blades hockey team. It is also used for figure skating sessions and hockey camp. |
