About the area |
When the Foster County courthouse was built around 1909 it stood all by itself on the open prairie. However structures soon came to surround it including residences and county buildings. To the Southwest of Carrington stands a butte three hundred feet higher than the surrounding area, Hawk's Nest. The site is convenient for hiking, birding, overnight camping, skiing and tobogganing |
