Step back in time by visiting the refurbished 1940's Bijou Show-House in Beach. There is still an operating classic Manley popcorn machine in the lobby. The theater is now the site of live shows. Or visit the friendly town of Sentinel Butte where Olson's Service station has provided a key to the station to everyone in town so that they could use when the Olsen's weren't there. But you are the honor system for gasoline pumped. The the Golden Valley County museum in Beach has over 2,000 exhibits including a restored 1909 school house, old tractors and other pieces of old equipment, a horse drawn hearse from the very early 1900's, items from the the 1800's, artifacts of the prairie, such as fossils, Indian arrow heads and old wagons. |
