About the area |
The town of Regent is graced by all kinds of metal sculptures. The Tin Family is located North of Regent on the Enchanted Highway is one group with Ma and Pa standing about 45 feet tall and son topping off at about 23 feet. The list goes on with the giant Pheasants on the Prairie, Theodore Roosevelt rides again, the stagecoach with horses, Fisherman's dream, Grasshoppers in the Field, geese in flight and deer crossing. Museum row on Main street consists of the Hettinger County Historical Society, Austin's Pioneerland, Dr. Hill's Drug Store and Clinic, Christy's store, and the German-Hungarian heritage museum. A complete rural, one-room school and a small church were relocated to the area and are now in the museum. Another museum, Nelson Ethnic museum is located in the former Nazarene Church. |
