Garrison Municipal Court

The residents of Garrison have only major road available to them, SR 37, and it runs through the Southernmost part of town where it meets CR 15.

Emblematic of the town's proclamation of it being the "Walleye Capitol of the World", the 26 foot long Wally the Walleye greets visitors at the end of Main Street in City park. This is not the only bigger than life figure in town; the 15 foot metal sculpture of Big Gene the Golfer sits at the entrance of the Garrison Municipal Golf course. Another unique site in town are its water towers labeled hot and cold. The city is home to the North Dakota Firefighter's museum. On display in this facility are fire trucks old and older, fire fighting gear and clothing, a memorial wall and fire department records from all over the state. The Heritage Park museum complex, located here, consists of a train depot, a pioneer school, two pioneer homes, log cabin, telephone office and a country church. For Summer or Winter ice fishing and other water sports visit Fort Stevenson State park to the South of Garrison. The annual Sky Fest over Fort Stevenson in May is a kite festival for all ages where you can fly your own kite or watch professional kite fliers fly some of the largest kites currently in production.
