Rolla District Court is the Rolette county district court and is part of the Northeast judicial district of North Dakota.
About the area
Dedicated to world peace, the large International Peace garden is a botanical garden lying along Rolette county's border with Canada. The gardens include reflecting pools and floral displays of over 150,000 flowers on the grounds of the terraced walkways. There is also a Peace Tower 120 feet high, a Peace chapel, seven Peace Poles which are a gift from the Japanese government and a 9/11 Memorial consisting of steel girders from the New York World Trade Center located at this site. The Dale & Martha Hawk museum, south of Mylo, consists of five buildings which hold the large collection of antique items such as farm equipment, threshers and smaller items; and several other structures representing the locality in the early days. These buildings include the old Wolford school, the Henry Johnson Store of Nanson, a country church; one room schoolhouse and a large law library. The Dale & Martha Hawk home which has been kept in its original condition is furnished with antiques. On the second weekend of June each year the Hawk Museum comes alive when it presents its Farm show. At this show the antique farm equipment is put to work and there are steam threshing demonstrations, buggy rides, live music and children’s games.
