Slope County was created around 1915 from a part of Billings county. The county has a number of Streams, rivers and creeks including Johny creek, South Cedar creek, Butte creek, First creek, North Cedar creek, Bacon creek, Cottonwood creek, Cannonball creek and Spring Coulee creek.
