About the area |
Golden Lake in Northern Steele county has both a a seasonal resort and campground between them providing amenities such as a public beach, playground, boat launch, convenience store, restaurant and entertainment. The lake is stocked with pike, walleye and perch and the campgrounds RV sites have electricity and sewer provisions. There are also spaces for tents here. The Steele County museum is located in Hope. It has many collections including a textile collection with items from the 1880s, a toy tractor collection with over 900 pieces, photographs and a collection of artifacts from the Masons and Odd Fellows from which it sets up its exhibits. |
