Two museums in Cando provide a glimpse into the history of the area. A small part of the Pioneer museum is on the main floor of city hall. The major portion of the museum, which has limited times for visiting, on the second floor is the major area of the museum. Here there are rooms furnished with items
provided by residents in the area. There is a kitchen,dining room, bedroom, parlor, toy room,professional room, 2 rooms housing "Mrs. Houge's" dress shoppe and reading rooms. The other museum, the Little School House museum is located on the courthouse lawn. The interior of this building has remained intact and also house pictures and other items from one room schoolhouses. The Cando All Seasons arena is used for hockey practice and open skating sessions. The town also maintains a municipal swimming pool.
